Local News ‘Mat Pouliot sends Frontside (v12) and Jamie Finlayson does Shelter (v13)’
The local news continues as the cold weather and sun brings fantastic conditions to the Sea to Sky area.
This morning in the boulders, Mat Pouliot sent Frontside (v12). Mat has been on a huge tear over the past few years, getting stronger and stronger. According to Mat, he is feeling pretty good these days but the temperatures also helped with the send.
Jamie Finlayson completed Shelter (v13). Jamie just recently had a baby boy and all that dad power must be paying off!
Local News: Nathan Hall sends The Method (v12)
The great fall weather in Squamish continues to usher in big sends. Nathan Hall has sent The Method, his first V12. This stunning technical line climbs a tall, near vertical face just off the apron trail. It is widely considered one of the very best problems in Squamish.

Local News ‘Luke Zimmerman takes down The Drowning Grip (v11)’
A lot of action in and around the boulders this weekend with sunny skies and perfect temps (if you can handle the cold!).
Luke Zimmerman made quick work of The Drowning Grip (v11), originally put up by Tim Doyle in 2006. Luke made huge progress on Saturday after giving up for the day on different project, falling at the top three times only to get back Sunday with refined beta and a send.
In other news from this weekend, Mat Pouliot made an ascent of The Serpent (v10) and Siddartha (v11). Tyler Thompson also did The Serpent (v10).
A few weeks ago Ben Herrington, originally from Washington, did Vince Pinch Low (v13) and put up a new line called Roundabout (v11) at the Dark Side in the cave to the right of Palm d’Or v5.
