Tour De Bloc starts this weekend in both Vancouver and Montreal.
Tour De Bloc 13 will start its west coast tour on Saturday, October 24th at The Hive Vancouver. The competition will start 8am for competitors and doors will open for finals at 6pm where spectators are welcome to join in on the festivities. This event is surely not to be missed!
Last year, this event ended in a showdown between local climber Simon Parton and Saskatoon’s Jay Holowach on the last problem, with Simon fighting as hard as possible to land on top of the podium.

This year, the registration for the Open Category looks stacked. On the men’s side, we have Simon Parton, Matt Johnson, and JJ Mah making their way back into the competition scene alongside Nathan Hall and Hans Christian Montenegro from Squamish and Eric Sethna, Marshal German, and Ben Fenton from Calgary. Other competitors to watch include Jamie Chong, David Echeveri, Gavin Johnson, and Tyler Thompson.
On the Women’s side, Tiffany Melius and Alison Stewart-Patterson look to be the favourites but anything can happen during the competition rounds. It appears that the Women’s Open category is missing a few familiar faces so if you ever thought of competing, now is your chance!

During the day, the gym will be closed for competitors and will then re-open for finals at 6 pm where all spectators are welcome!
