Please note that the Squamish Access Society has reported that a peregrine falcon is nesting on Astro Lege directly above Alaska Highway on the North Walls of the Chief.
We, along with BC Parks, ask that all climbers engage in a voluntary closure of this route, along with The Calling, Ron Zalko Workout and Gone Surfin’, until the young have fledged. We’ll update this with a link to the official BC Parks closure document when it’s ready. The nest will be observed carefully in the coming weeks and the routes will be re-opened as soon as possible.
