Interview with Guy and Kindar McNamee | 2019 Youth Boulder Nationals

For anyone who climbs indoors these days, it is very apparent that the new generation of climbers are getting stronger. No exception to this rule is the Hive Bouldering Gym‘s youth team. Aptly names The Swarm, this youth team is a regular force in the gym.

A big part of the Swarm team are Guy and Kindar McNamee. Born in Haiti and living in Vancouver since the age of two, Guy and Kindar are identical twins. They have been climbing since they were nine years of age. Now, at the age of sixteen, both of these competitors are starting to come into their own and are already a force to be reckoned with.

Dan Beland Completes The Rainbow (5.14a) in Hurricane, UT | Recent News

We are pleased to announce that on the last day of his trip, Dan Beland completed The Rainbow (5.14a) in Hurricane, Utah. The route itself traverses the entire lip (ish) of the cave, hence the name. Nice one Dan!

Allison Vest Dominates the Hive Climbing Stop of Tour De Bloc 16

Last night, the Hive Bouldering Gym in North Vancouver put on a flawless finals round to close out the West Coast schedule of the 2019 Tour De Bloc. With a full crowd in attendance, owner Andrew Coffey on the mic, and plently of beer and some fine Tality Kombucha to go around, the stage was set for a field stacked with great climbers.
