Stu Smith has got himself a drone and is putting himself behind the lense in a series called ‘That Route’. Here is his first featuring White Rabbit (5.10b) in the Smoke Bluffs located in Squamish, BC.

The Calgary Climbing Centre Hanger Location will play host to the 2016 Alberta Youth and Open Bouldering Provincials this weekend. The CCC has a long history of putting on great competitions and this one will be no different. To hype up the festivities, they have increased their media presence with a few video.

With winter in full swing at home, those who can have packed their vans and headed south. One of those people is Nathan Hall, who has been travelling since November. We are pleased to announce that last week Nathan sent Haroun And The Sea Of Stories (v11), a tall line in the Buttermilks as well as Evilution (to the lip-v10). Congratulations Nathan! I am sure this will not be the last time we here from him before his trip is up.

With all the fantastic photographers around last weekend, we decided to pick a selection of photos from the competition. These folks started shooting at 8am and didn’t get finished until 10am. Special thanks to Shane Murdoch, Ken Chow, and Thomas Burden.

Last night, Ground Up Climbing Centre, in Squamish, BC, hosted their first ever Sport Climbing BC sanctioned bouldering competition. With 140 competitors from across the province participating in the event, the scene was set for a showdown in the Open Category for both men and women.

We are very psyched to announce that local climber Stu Smith sent Smashing Windows (5.13c) at Penny Lane in the Smoke Bluffs yesterday afternoon. Smashing Windows is a very technically demanding climb that was first put up by Andrew Boyd in 2010 and has seen very few repeats since that time.
