We are pleased to announce that Miles Adamson has made the first ascent of Impostor Syndrome (5.14d) at University Wall in Canmore, BC. Originally bolted in the 90’s and leftover as an undone project, Miles Adamson went to work on the vertical puzzle, making the first ascent this week! Congratulations Miles!

Access to SULLYS HANGOUT and LYNN BOULDERS Closed due to Bear | Recent News

At the request of the BC Conservation Officer Service, Lynn Headwaters Regional Park in North Vancouver will be CLOSED effective 7 am, Tues. July 28 until further notice, due to an aggressive bear that bit a 10-year-old girl. The Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve also remains closed.

Van Camping to Be Banned by Squamish Council | Local News

In a 4-3 vote, Squamish council voted to amend the current van camping bylaw to include all land within the District of Squamish with campgrounds as the only exception. See Squamish Chief article here.

The Vehicle Residents of Squamish group has written an open letter and started a signed petition to stop the ban, which will likely be added to the business meeting agenda next Tuesday, July 28th for a final reading.

Another group of facebook has started a Disruption Protest Against Squamish Camping Ban that will take place on August 1st to demonstrate how important vehicle camping is to the greater community in Squamish.
