Alannah Yip Places Fifth in IFSC World Cup Chongqing Making Canadian History
We are very pleased to announce that North Vancouver local, Alannah Yip made Canadian climbing history early this morning after placing fifth in the IFSC World Cup Bouldering competition in Chongqing, China. After flashing the first problem in semi-finals and then topping the final problem in the round, there was an excitement in the air, as Alannah took sixth place going into finals as the first Canadian female to do so in IFSC history. This was Alannah’s first stop on the tour after a big shift last year in her training as she focused more on the World Cup circuit than competing locally. Congratulations Alannah! All that work really paid off and we are excited for all to come.
