A little bit of local news to keep you going. Dan Beland recently made an ascent of Revival (5.14b) on the Big Show in Chek Canyon. Dan has steadily making headway on hard sends over the past few years, with ascents of Driven (5.14a), Dinosaur Highway (5.14a) and Mike Doyle’s Adato (5.14b) at Horne Lake last year. Dan also recently made a trip to the rockies where he climbed Fully Jingus (5.13d) and Army Ants (5.13c). Great work Dan!

In other news, Steve Townsend made an ascent of Endless Summer (5.13d) at Acephale. Steve recently took a job in Alberta and will surely be making waves in Canmore. He also sent Ojas (5.14a) in Canmore earlier this summer.
Here is a video of Reagan Kennedy on Ojas.
Marc Bourdon has made the second ascent of Golden Choice (5.13c) recently put up during a bolting spree by Alex Quiring. Alex moved to Vancouver from Calgary more than a year ago and has got his hands on a new drill, putting up four 5.13’s last month. The crag is currently a work in progress but will surely be a great addition to climbing in the Sea to Sky area. We will keep you updated when it is ready!
