Lots of things going on in the Hope, BC these days. The locals out there are making the most of the spring. Special thanks to Marco Lefebvre who has been keeping us updated for the past bunch of years! Marco is on his way to New Zealand for the unforeseeable future. Best of luck!
Marco Lefrebvre on Eclipse (V11).
Marco Lefebvre has done the first ascent of Eclipse V11, on the Metropolis boulder. This problem climbs New Moon V10/11 and finishes with Sea of Simulation.
Tyler Thompson and Paul Frushtorfer both repeated Gabriel Moch’s Boom V8, with Tyler adding a hard right to left traverse which skips the mantle on Boom for the FA of Boom Train V10.
Andy Jackson has taken down a few tall slab projects recently with sends of Alabama Shakes V2, and Horse With No Name V1. Though not high in the grade, these problems are tall, thin, and scary. Andy also did the FA (padless) of Flex Friday V0, a giant 30’+ chimney that forces you to traverse 15′ over boulders before heading straight up.
The twin towers, Brad Mueller and John Valecko did the first ascent of Sasquatch Encounters (V2/3), which starts with an inverted horizontal offwidth roof and finishes with a precarious chimney and a potential x-rated fall.
