Yesterday, the CEC (Climbing Escalade Canada) released major changes to regional competition in Canada and qualifications for National and International Competition.

The major changes include:
1. Canada will be divided into two regions: West Region and East Region
2. Provincial Quotas for Regional Finals have changed for Youth and Open categories with a max of 10 athletes for youth and 25 athletes for Open (per category).
3. Regional Quotas for National Competition have changed with a max of 20 athletes for Youth and 30 athletes for Open (per category).
4. One spot will be held in Regionals for National Champion
5. Provinces will have one extra spot for NON-Resident Canadian who qualify
6. Foreign Nationals will not be eligible for CEC EVENTS
