Recent News’ Adam Ondra completes Sacrifice (5.15a) at Echo Canyon’

We are pleased to announce that Adam Ondra has completed ‘Sacrifice (5.15a)’ at the Colliseum in Echo Canyon, Canmore, AB.

This a picture of @hauonearth while bolting two lines up Colliseum, Echo Canyon, Canmore. Two years later, he made the FA of the left line, calling it Honour and Glory, while the line to the right remained unclimbed until yesterday when I linked all the moves of this 45meter line. Now it is "Sacrifice" 5.15a (9a+). Both routes are of a really good quality and will hopefully tempt other climbers. Actually, a few days ago @miles_adamson got the 3rd ascent of Honour and Glory. Congrats! As much as it is fun to climb on established routes, we should give a credit to everyone who makes the "sacrifice" to bolt and clean the routes for all of us! @blackdiamond @lasportivagram @montura_official @mytendon @gardatrentino Repost of @hauonearth

A post shared by Adam Ondra (@adam.ondra) on

On the last day of his trip, Ondra completed the 45 meter line that was first envisioned and bolted by Calgary-local Evan Hau. Evan bolted ‘Sacrifice’ at the same time that he bolted ‘Honour and Glory’. Sacrifice marks the third 5.15 in the Bow Valley!

Congratulations Adam!
