The following clip was taken of Adam Ondra last weekend during the IFSC World Climbing Camp at The Boulders Climbing Gym in Central Saanich, BC. Due to circumstance, the footage take is very rough. Nonetheless, Adam dispensed some good information on his routine when he is training and when he is tired.

In the second instalment of ‘Q + A with Sean McColl“, Sean speaks about training tired, 4 by 4’s, and getting ready for the pump. This one is a bit more training specific than the last. Again, the footage here was captured during the event last weekend and is pretty rough. Worth a look!

For all those who hear the heart of the mountains, this event may be your calling. Barry Blanchard will be speaking at the Patagonia Vancouver store on Thursday February 26th, 2015. Doors open at 730pm and talk starts at 8pm. For those not familiar, Barry Blanchard (born March 29, 1959 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is one of North America’s top alpinists, noted for pushing the standards of highly technical, high-risk alpine climbing in the Canadian Rockies and the Himalayas

One of unique things about having a World Climbing Camp is the exposure and access young climbers have to professional climbers who compete in the world cup circuit. The following is raw footage of a question and answer session that Sean McColl had with his group of competitors. Sean did a fantastic job of answering their questions and giving them what they need. Here is part one of a three part series.

Another big day here here at the IFSC World Climbing Camp at The Boulders Climbing Gym in Central Saanich, BC. The day started with two workshop blocks, similar to the day before, and was followed by preparation and preview for the mock competition. The mock lead competition started at 130pm and was followed by the mock speed competition. The lead wall door was opened early due to the fantastic conditions and everyone was in shorts and t-shirts.
