We are very pleased to announce that local climber Chris Singer has completed his main project, Kype of the Pinook (5.12+) at The Estuary Wall in Paradise Valley. The line itself takes the steepest face up the wall, followed by a wild stemming corner and then transfers to an arete that requires a little ‘out of the box’ thinking!

Reporting this send would not be complete without mentioning that Chris has developed a number of routes over the past year, including Steelhead (5.12b -an excellent line!)and Humpies in Heat (5.12c). Congratulations Chris on the send and thanks for all those hours cleaning!

In the spring of 2016, Black Diamond Athletes Babsi Zangerl, Daila Ojeda and Colette McInerney committed to a three-week training cycle to improve their climbing. This is their story.
