We are pleased to announce that Steve Townshend has made an ascent of Tom Wright’s Spirit of the West (5.14a) in Paradise Valley, Squamish, BC.

We are pleased to announce that local climber Juan Fercovic has made an ascent of Captain America (14b) on The Big Show in Chek Canyon, Squamish, BC. This was Juan’s hardest climb to date and he had been working on the rig for the past two years. Congratulations Juan!

Just in time for school, Andy White has put the summer months to good work and yesterday made the first ascent of Slippery When Wet (v13) in the Boulderfields near Kelowna, BC.

We are very pleased to announce that visiting French climber Tristan Bails has made what looks like the lucky 13th ascent of Cobra Crack! Christian had tried the rig last year and came back for the send this year, only to do it just before he had to leave!

We are pleased to announce that Elan Jonas McCrae makes FA of The Remnant (5.14c) in Skaka Provincial Park. The line, first bolted and visioned by Sonnie Trotter sits on The Belfry sharing the the start with The Replicant (5.13d).

Update: After sending The Missing Link (5.14d)a few days later, Elan decided to downgrade The Remnant to 5.14c, first calling it 5.14d

After declaring hot temperatures and a change in strategy the day before, Evan Hau set a timer, woke up early, and sent Life of Villains (5.14d) in the Hurricave close to Hurricane, UT. First put up by Joe Kinder, the line has seen only a few ascents. Congratulations Evan!
