As rain hammered the West coast, a number of BC athletes headed across the border to compete in this weekend’s Northwest Boulderfest held at Seattle Bouldering Project. With a strong showing in semi-finals, Jesse Taplin, Tiffany Melius, and Alannah Yip all made finals despite a large contingent of professional climbers left over from the Portland Boulder Rally. All three of these climbers are a part of the new Climb Base5 Open Competition Team and it looks like the intensive training that they have been going through over the past six weeks has really paid off.
