Squamish resident, Kyle MacDonald-Wolochatiuk, 40, died in a speed flying accident in the Stawamus Chief Provincial Park late Sunday night off first peak. BC Coroner’s Service reported that MacDonald-Wolochatiuk died on the scene after encountering problems in the air. Global News reported that Kyle hit a tree which resulted in complications during the flight followed by a fall of approximately 500 metres.
Kyle leaves his wife, Krista Besner, and soon-to-be child. A fundraising campaign has been started online to raise money for Kyle’s family. Donations for his family can be made here.
We know there are a lot of friends and family of Kyle and Krista out there like us – friends who want a way to honour Kyle’s passionate spirit, and offer love and support to his wife Krista and their soon-to-be little girl.
