This weekend, the Boulder House in Victoria, BC will play host to the 2019 Boulder Provincials. Athletes from all over BC have been gearing up for this exciting event, with qualifiers on Saturday followed by Semi-final and Final rounds on Sunday.
On the Men’s side, it looks like last years champion, Andrew Funk, has been cleared to compete after suffering from an injury since December. He is joined by a young squad ready to take the thrown including Tosh Sherkat, Guy and Kinder McNamee, and Ben Hughes. The regular competition climbers will also be in the mix with Ivan Luo looking strong along with Jason Mah and Elan Jonas McCrae. Notably missing from the line-up is Jesse Taplin.
On the Women’s side, a number of young competitors continue to dominant the field including Mika Hosoi, Sophie Buitendyk, and Alexis Binder from Abbotsford. These competitors are joined by vetran competitors Alison Stewart-Patterson, Rebecca Frangos, and reigning champion Allison Vest.
