Rolf Ryback, a prominent member of the Skaha climbing community and CASBC Regional Director for the area, has posted a survey for all climbers that use Skaha Provincial park for the purposes of climbing.
BC Parks is developing a Climbing Strategy for Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park. The Strategy will give more specific direction to the management and development of recreational climbing and outdoor recreation, ensuring that recreational needs are balanced with ecological conservation. The climbing strategy will provide a 20-year vision, strategies and guidelines regarding climbing in Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park.
The intent of this survey is to learn more about people’s perspectives about protecting the ecological values of Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park, to identify existing and future needs of the climbing community and other park users, and to help inform management strategies for climbing infrastructure and facilities.
