The Edge Climbing Centre hosted the 2015 SCBC Fall Classic last night and it did not disappoint. Going into finals, three female competitors, Maria Celkova, Tiffany Melius, and Alannah Yip were tied for first in what was expected to be a battle royal between these strong climbers.

In the end, it was Sophie Buitendyk, after four tops in eight tries, blew the competition out of the water to land on top of the podium followed by Sidney Trinidad and Alannah Yip. According to witnesses, Sophie was ‘climbing like a boss’ during the final round.
On the Men’s side, Jesse Taplin ended up in first with four tops followed by Alex Fritz and Ivan Lou, with three tops. It is great to see the progression of Ivan Lou this year as he continues to impress during the competition season. A special note is also worthy to Alex Fritz, from Seattle, who has participated in a number of local competitions this year
