More Local Action in the Boulders

Local climber Jesse Warren has managed a rare ascent of Shelter, V13. This extremely aesthetic problem was originally established by Tim Clifford and adds a very hard sequence into Sharma’s cave, a stout V11 in its own right.   Jesse is having an impressive fall, having also recently redpointed Silient Menace (aka Smell the Glove), 14c.

Jesse is also the creator of one of my favourite  Squamish bouldering videos. Check it out below:

Cold Sunny Days Bring in Big Sends

In the boulders, local residents are making the most of these amazing November conditions.  Mat Pouliot recently took down The Method and Summoning Sit, both V12.  Matt Keays sent Sushi Special, also V12, and Kaleb Thomas sent his “dream project”, the quintessential Squamish classic: The Egg (V11). Conditions are prime out there. Get after it!

News Update November 4th, 2014

Jimmy Webb gets the first ascent of The Multiverse V14 in an less-travelled bouldering area in Wyoming. This place looks promising so I imagine there is more to come.
