Great video of Jakob Schubert on the second ascent of Adam Ondra’s La Plant de Shiva (9b)
Nina Williams recently made the FFA of the classic Bishop highbal Evilution Direct. Check out the video:
Nice little flick about Squamish trad climbing.
It has been too long since the last Chris Sharma clip.
Jonathan Siegrist flicks are the best. Love it.
Nice video of Grampians featuring a number of very cool problems.
A great little video featuring Seb Bouin Climbing in Rodellar.
A new cip out by Clayton Arnall featuring the Ben Harden classic Skullduggery (v9/10). Very sweet line in the Okanagan!
Tom Randall, best known as one of the two “Wide Boys”, recently completed what is likely the hardest crack boulder in the word. “The Kraken” climbs out the near horizontal roof of a sea cave and checks in at V13.
Guillaume Glairon-Mondet has established “Le Pied à Coulisse” in Fontainebleau and proposed the grade of 8C+ or V16. This could be the first problem of its grade in the famous area and one of only an handful around the world. GuiGui wrote a great blog post describing the problem which you can read about here.
Ben Herrignton is a strong climber out of Washington State who frequents our local boulders on a regular basis. He has made a couple nice videos of some of his ascents. Here is his most recent featuring The Method (v12), Squaminator (v12) and Vince Pinch Low (v13).
Today we are throwing all the way back to 1996 with the classic bouldering flick “The Real Thing”. If you missed out on this incredible bit of climbing history, it is time to catch up! From the intro featuring a shirtless Ben Moon pounding steel, the continuous comic relief provided by Jerry Moffat, Ben Moon sticking the iconic 1-5-9 campus, and tons of great footage of bouldering in Font, this movie is truly a classic. Enjoy!
Little clip from Patxi and Adam Ondra.
A great little video featuring Lizzy Asher climbing four classic Squamish highballs as birthday challenge:
It’s TBT again at SCMag and I’d like to take the opportunity to share one of my favorite Dave Macleod videos. For those who don’t know, Dave is an incredibly inspiring dude. He flies a bit under the rader but is certainly one the world’s top all rounders. He has sent 14d sport, bouldered V15 and put up the worlds first E11. He has even free solo’ed up to 14b! What I find most interesting about Dave is he seems like a guy who isn’t coasting on his natural talents but someone who works really hard to achieve his goals. He also puts a lot of thought into training and is the author of my favorite training guide: 9 out of 10 Climbers Make the Same Mistakes. In this video he does some hard bouldering but more interesting is hearing his thoughts on trying things at your limits and what it takes to really make it as a climber. I hope you enjoy!
A little video of Daniel Woods attempting the Christian Core test piece, Gioia, one of the hardest boulder problems in the world.
Good post production video of Sasha and Carlo this summer on the Eiger.
