Gear Review: The New 2019 Scarpa Booster

One of the first shoes that we reviewed as a newly minted online magazine was the Scarpa Booster S. We felt such a privilege to be asked to review a shoe of its caliber and it was this model that made us fall in love with Scarpa line up, concluding that the future of climbing shoes was in good hands.

With increased sensitivity in the mid-foot and a re-designed heel that holds up to the technical nature of granite bouldering , the New Scarpa Booster offers a lot of great stuff under the hood. However, the question on our minds was simply this: Does it hold up to the overall power of the original?

The night will also feature Bishop-based filmmaker Ken Etzel. Ken has been filming and shooting Alex Megos across the globe for the better part of a decade and will be answering questions before and after the film.

2019 Power Bar Round Up and Review | Reviews

Over the past year, there has been a growing influx of new and exciting power bars coming out of British Columbia. This Spring, we had a chance to test a variety of power bars from manufacturers in British Columbia and here is what we thought.

Hornby Organic Energy Bars

Out of all the bars we tasted, Hornby Organic Energy Bars were by far the ones we loved the most. Based in Comox, BC on Vancouver Island, Hornby Organics is a small company built on family values that include organic ingredients that are Canadian, gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. Each bar has 12 grams of protein.

The Yubiboard Portable Hangboard by Digit Climbing | Gear Review

Without a doubt, there has been an explosion of portable hang boards over the past couple years. With almost every design possible on the market, it is difficult to choose which hangboard may best suit your needs at the crag. One company that has stood out from the rest is Digit Climbing.
