Results are in for the first round of the British Columbia Bouldering Provincials, sanctioned by Sport Climbing BC and hosted by The Hive North Shore.
One the Men’s side, it looks like Ivan Luo, in true competition fashion, has landed himself at the top of the finals list followed by Squamish-local Tosh Sherkat. Predictably, Guy and Kinder McNamee have made finals along with Jason Mah who continues to have a stellar season. Great to see Kin Wai Lah back in the mix after a year of injuries as well as Andrew Funk who has struggled to gain his footing in the BC competition scene.
On the Women’s side, there is no surpise with Hung Ying Lee sitting at the top of the list followed by Allison Vest. Great to see Mika Hosoi in the mix as well as Canmore-local Rebecca Frangos, Victoria-local Allison Stewart-Patterson and Kelowna-local Staci White. The dark horse here is Sally Kim and can’t wait to see how she lands in the mix of these strong competitors.
Finals is surely to be a show down of these fine climbers.
