Notice from Squamish Access Society June 13th, 2017.
Effective Immediately – Falcon Closure. Falcon activity in the Squamish Buttress area along the South Gully access trail from the Apron has prompted BC parks to issue a falcon closure of the following routes: Squamish Buttress, Butt Lite, Progress Can’t Wait, Heat wave, and Gemini. Also included in this closure are routes using the Apron- South Gully Trail to access the Upper eastern side of the South Gully – these include Upper Echelon, Gravity Bong, Teddy Bears Picnic, and the Ultimate Everything.

Notice from the Squamish Access Society regarding Falcons posted May 25th, 2017.
BC Parks biologists identified two potential falcon nest locations on the weekend. These two locations are right of the Squamish Buttress and in the University Wall area. Photos are attached below. Climbers on Uncle Ben’s were observed to be causing great agitation to the falcons. BC Parks is concerned about this falcon behavior and is asking climbers to be aware of falcon activity in these zones. Please report any falcon sightings in these areas to SAS. Possibly expect falcon closures in your climb choice.
Thanks from BC Parks and Frieda and Fred Falcon.
